The concept for the P3 model is exclusively as urban infill to meet the requirements of a standard 50'x125' lot. The underlying thesis of the project is focus on the back yard and privacy. The main living area opens up to the back yard as an oasis and escape. The program consists of living, dining, kitchen and den on the main level with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a master bedroom with a bath and access to a 800 sf deck for entertaining. The materials chosen offer a tension between translucent and solid to allow for privacy while still allowing natural light. Window placement also allows for privacy along public/neighboring areas. The open stairwell serves as a funnel of natural light to the bedrooms and main level.
